Outdoor clothing store Carhartt will open a standalone New Jersey store in Cherry Hill on Jan. 31.
While some stores currently carry the brand, this will be its first standalone store in the state and 30th in the nation. With this opening, the brand’s footprint spans 18 states.
“This Carhartt store is the first of its kind to open in New Jersey, and we’re excited to bring our brand to this community of hardworking men and women,” said a Carhartt spokesperson via email. “Cherry Hill and the surrounding communities are blue-collar towns made up of hardworking Carhartt consumers with deep ties to the brand. By opening a store in Cherry Hill, Carhartt has the unique opportunity to service Carhartt consumers in the New Jersey and Philadelphia communities.”
The store’s proximity to the highway and train stations allows for brand exposure to new consumers as well as current fans, said the email. The store will offer a variety of clothing styles for men, women, children, and pets, along with accessories like boots, hats, socks, belts and wallets.
The 3,985-square-foot store will be located at 2020 Route 70 and will employ between 15 and 20 people. This is currently the only Carhartt store planned for New Jersey, the spokesperson said.
