Three weeks after presenting its Fall 2026 show in New York’s iconic Meatpacking District, the New York fashion house Carolina Herrera has just opened its first boutique in La Jolla, San Diego, California.
The brand, part of the Spanish Puig group and present in 105 countries with 15,000 points of distribution (including more than 350 CH Carolina Herrera stores and four Carolina Herrera New York boutiques), has chosen the exclusive La Jolla neighbourhood in San Diego to unveil a new boutique concept.
Located in the Westfield UTC shopping centre, which houses brands such as Saint Laurent, Louis Vuitton, Brunello Cucinelli, Tom Ford, Zegna and Hermès, the nearly 300sq m store showcases the complete Carolina Herrera universe, encompassing ready-to-wear, handbags, evening wear, beauty, fragrances, accessories and eyewear.
To mark the opening, the boutique is hosting the brand’s Spring/Summer 2026 runway collection for the first time on the West Coast, including its new handbag line.
“Creating a Southern California enclave for the House of Herrera is a strategic milestone for us,” said Emilie Rubinfeld, President of Carolina Herrera since 2017 and with the brand since 2012. “As part of our brand and business ambition, we are strengthening our retail presence across the US and the opening of the La Jolla boutique marks a key step in this new phase. Today and every day, our priority is the customer experience, offering a world-class retail environment to discover our collections. We look forward to meeting our new clientele in San Diego and the La Jolla community and building a lasting presence that celebrates the combination of sunshine, optimism and hospitality,” she added.
