The French distributor opens a ‘Carrefour Café’ in its former Liège hypermarket in Belle-Île, converted into a smaller Carrefour Market. This innovation, which combines retail and catering, will also be rolled out in other stores. The brand intends to offer a new consumer experience, with meal solutions for every moment of the day. Guests can enjoy various dishes, most of them prepared on site: salads, sandwiches, sushi and fresh quiches offered by a local supplier.
This new zone brings together a complete range of fast food solutions, including products from the Carrefour Lunch Time range, which customers can consume on site if they wish. In addition, Carrefour considers this 82m² Café corner as the ideal place to organize workshops.
In this corner, which overlooks the Belle-Ile shopping centre and also attract visitors to the mall, customers will also have the opportunity to surf for free on the internet, recharge their smartphone or laptop and warm meals at the microphone -ondes.
Carrefour intends to open other coffee corners later this year, but has not specified where. At first the concept will undoubtedly serve to give a new destination to the superfluous space of hypermarkets.
