We visited highly anticipated downtown Bradenton restaurant ahead of its opening this week. The most highly anticipated downtown Bradenton restaurant opening of the past year or so will take place Tuesday.
That’s when at 5 p.m. people will first be seated inside Château 13 at 535 13th St. W., just south of Old Main Street and a short walk north from the Village of the Arts. As first reported in September, the excitement concerning Château 13, which occupies the historic Hullinger Music Store building and seats 25 in the dining room plus 25 at the bar, comes from its connection to Dining at Palmetto Riverside. A popular spot for elegant multi-course meals and fine wine pairings, it’s inside the Palmetto Riverside Bed and Breakfast along the Manatee River.
Owner/innkeepers Wim and Mieke Lippens from Belgium transformed the former porch of the picturesque bed and breakfast into an intimate dining area. Now, they’re opening Château 13 with Jenn Sayko, who has been working with them at the bed and breakfast before taking on the role of operating partner and general manager at the new restaurant, which also offers fine dining as well as lots of enticing cheese and charcuterie options.
