Chaument Chooses Lisbon for Portugal Debut

Already present in Spain with several of its own stores, the French luxury jewellery house Chaumet is strengthening its presence in the Iberian Peninsula with the inauguration of its first Portuguese store in Lisbon.

Inaugurated on 24 October, the boutique is located on the iconic Avenida da Liberdade, a major shopping street in the capital. As the house, founded in 1780, emphasises, this street “is a symbol of cosmopolitan elegance and embodies the subtle fusion of past and present that is so dear to Chaumet”.

Inspired by Chaumet’s flagship boutique at 12 Place Vendôme in Paris, the space adopts a Parisian decorative style and a refined design that incorporates the house’s signature elements and celebrates its history, intimately linked to royalty and in particular, to the imperial couple Napoleon I and Josephine.

The new boutique already offers a wide selection of pieces from the house’s iconic collections: Joséphine, inspired by the Empress; Bee My Love, which evokes the world of bees; and Liens, featuring pieces in platinum, rose gold, or white gold set with diamonds.

With the opening of its first boutique in Portugal, Chaumet strengthens its presence on the Iberian Peninsula. In Portugal, it was previously distributed only through multi-brand partners such as David Rosas and Torres Joalheiros. In Spain, the brand opened its first boutique in Madrid in 2019, followed this year by a second location on the Paseo de Gracia in Barcelona.
