The regional convenience store chain has partnered with Silicon Valley technology start-up Grabango to open a check-out free store in Brentwood, Tennessee in a retail technology deployment exclusively reported first in Chain Store Age.

“We’re excited to offer this game-changing checkout-free technology at our Brentwood location,” said Frederic Chaveyriat, CEO of Mapco. “We look forward to bringing the same great MAPCO products our Brentwood customers know and love with the added convenience of a checkout-free option.”

“Mapco is an industry-leading operator focused on delivering better shopping experiences for their customers, and we are honoured to be working with them to bring the convenience of checkout-free to shoppers,” said Andrew Radlow, Chief Revenue Officer at Grabango, in exclusive commentary to Chain Store Age. “What we’re especially proud of is the ease and speed with which Grabango was able to deploy in the existing Mapco store, not once closing the store or turning away customers and the Mapco team was a great partner through it all.”
