The fast-casual chicken salad chain will open its first restaurant in New York on 22 September at The Shops at Village Plaza shopping centre in Clifton Park, a northern suburb of Albany.
The debut in New York will bring Chicken Salad Chick’s footprint to 27 states. The Clifton Park location is the first restaurant to open under a 25-unit franchise agreement announced in May that will bring Chicken Salad Chick to the Albany, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse and the Upper Hudson Valley areas across New York. The agreement represents the chain’s largest franchise development deal to date.
In the first quarter of 2026, Chicken Salad Chick debuted in several key markets, including Las Vegas, Philadelphia and Phoenix. The chain has over 300 locations in its development pipeline.
