DAMAC Properties has launched the Lagoons District in Dubailand, unveiling a mixed-use waterfront development that blends residential, commercial and lifestyle offerings within a masterplanned community designed for round-the-clock living.
Announced at an event at Coca-Cola Arena, the project introduces Valencia apartments alongside Piazza Roma offices as part of what the developer describes as a 24/7 live-work-play destination anchored by DAMAC Mall and shaped around water, culture and community.
Amira Sajwani, Managing Director of DAMAC Properties, said: “DAMAC Lagoons District is our next step in building a community that optimises life. We’re bringing together two powerful ideas of waterfront wellbeing and a high-energy urban district, so residents and professionals can spend less time commuting and more time living. Valencia and Piazza Roma reflect a more human, more walkable Dubai: one where the best of the city is just minutes away.”
Planned around decentralised cores, the district prioritises integrated and sustainable community planning while aiming to shorten travel distances between homes, workplaces and amenities. The concept is intended to help working parents reclaim up to 20 per cent more time by placing key daily touchpoints within walking distance.
Connectivity is a key element of the masterplan, with major destinations including DAMAC Mall, Saudi German Clinic, Trump International Golf Club, Global Village and Al Maktoum Airport all within a short drive.
The development will feature a range of technology-enabled and wellness-focused amenities, including an interactive digital boardwalk, floating digital art gallery, smart pop-up retail spaces and a purpose-built Flamenco performance stage. Fitness facilities include an aqua gym with submerged workout stations, alongside outdoor yoga areas and spa spaces cooled by a climate-smart water canopy.
