Disney to Launch Streaming Service in Middle East

The popular Disney+ platform has already notched up more than 130 million subscribers since its US launch in 2019.

Disney will be rolling out its popular streaming service this week across 16 markets in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Disney+ was first launched in November 2019 in the US and has been gradually rolled out globally. The streaming service had 137.7 million subscribers as of 2 April 2022.

The Walt Disney Company confirmed launch dates for 42 new countries and 11 new territories as part of a mass launch this summer. The streaming service will officially launch today in multiple markets across MENA including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Oman and Qatar.

Users will have access to high-quality viewing, up to four concurrent streams, unlimited downloads on up to 10 devices, and the ability to set up to seven different profiles, including the ability for parents to set Kids Profiles to access age-appropriate content.
