The company has inked a new distribution deal with Sephora for Mainland China, with the US skincare brand now available both online and across 250 of the beauty retailer’s stores in the region.
Under the deal, Drunk Elephant is available in Sephora China across the major cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chengdu, as well as Sephora’s digital and e-commerce platforms and Drunk Elephant’s storefront on Tmall.
“As brand launches go, this year will be a momentous one for Sephora as we leverage our global resources to diversify our brand and product offering in this key market,” said Alia Gogi, Asia President at Sephora.
Founded in 2013 by Tiffany Masterson, Drunk Elephant is a clean beauty brand which claims to be void of the ‘Suspicious Six’ ingredients found in traditional beauty products. Its hero products include Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream, Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Facial Oil and Drunk Elephant B-hydra Hydration Serum. Looking ahead, Sephora said it plans to expand Drunk Elephant to 300 stores by the end of the year.
