Dubai Festival City Mall Sees Increased Footfall

Despite the continued threat of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the mall has witnessed an increase in footfall.

Al Futtaim Group Real Estate reopened Dubai Festival City Mall on April 25 and implemented a number of safety measures in the hopes to regain consumer confidence. The mall has now seen footfall increase and Steven Cleaver, Director of Shopping Malls believes there is plenty to be optimistic about in the second half of the year as restrictions in the area continue to be lifted and tourists continuing to return to the emirate.

“I think consumer confidence is back. We’ve got thermal cameras on all locations. Everybody is required to wear masks. We’ve got an increased level of sanitisation and housekeeping throughout the mall. I think people have adapted really quickly to the changes which have been brought about by the COVID-19 crisis and they’ve adapted very well.” commented Clever.
