Rove Hotels has announced its entry into Egypt with the signing of Rove Sheikh Zayed City, marking the UAE-born brand’s latest move to broaden its presence across the Middle East.

The contemporary lifestyle hospitality brand, a joint venture between Emaar Properties and Dubai Holding, is partnering with El Sayyad Group to deliver the project through the group’s hotels investment subsidiary, El Sayyad for Hotels & Resorts. The agreement reflects Rove’s strategy to introduce its signature blend of connectivity, style and value to Greater Cairo.

Construction of the property is scheduled to begin in the second half of the year. Located in Sheikh Zayed City on the Cairo–Alexandria Desert Road, the hotel will provide access to key destinations including Downtown Cairo, the Grand Egyptian Museum, the Great Pyramids of Giza and Alexandria.

The development will feature 240 rooms designed around Rove’s vibrant aesthetic and relaxed comfort. Planned amenities include all-day dining at The Daily, a pool, gym facilities and co-working spaces, supporting the brand’s focus on lifestyle-oriented travel.

The hotel also benefits from proximity to Smart Village, one of Egypt’s largest business hubs, and is approximately 15 minutes from Sphinx International Airport, positioning it to serve both corporate and leisure travellers.

he Egypt launch follows recent announcements of the brand’s first hospitality projects in Saudi Arabia and Oman, highlighting growing momentum behind its regional expansion. By entering the Egyptian market, Rove aims to address increasing demand for approachable, lifestyle-driven accommodation in a city recognised for its cultural significance and expanding tourism appeal.

“Bringing Rove to Cairo is an exciting step forward that opens the door to a new audience in a city rich with culture and energy,” said Paul Bridger, Chief Operating Officer at Rove Hotels. “Our expansion into Egypt is a natural evolution for the brand as we continue to grow our presence across the region, always with the clear vision of providing high-quality, lifestyle-driven accommodation to the new generation of global travellers.”

Khaled El Sayyad, CEO at El Sayyad Group, added: “The hospitality landscape in Egypt is shifting toward fuss-free, well-designed experiences that prioritise social connectivity and local culture. Our partnership with Rove Hotels is a strategic move to address this gap by introducing a proven, disruptive regional brand to the Egyptian market for the first time.

“By combining El Sayyad Group’s deep-rooted local market insight with Rove’s global lifestyle appeal, we are creating a unique value proposition that blends world-class connectivity with authentic local culture.”

Born in Dubai, Rove operates a portfolio spanning hotels, branded residences and related developments, with more than 8,000 keys open or under development across the Middle East. The brand continues to target well-connected urban locations, with further expansion announcements expected.
