Dubai’s Ibn Battuta Mall Announces 38 new and Upcoming Openings

Dubai’s Ibn Battuta Mall is expanding its shopping, dining and entertainment offering with 38 new and upcoming openings, including Roxy Cinemas, Five Guys, Jimmy John’s and Marugame Udon.

The Dubai Retail destination has confirmed that 21 businesses are already welcoming customers, with another 17 scheduled to open by the end of 2027.

The expansion includes new restaurants, cafés, fashion retailers, family entertainment attractions and services, adding to the mall’s existing line-up of more than 350 businesses.

Ibn Battuta Mall, which opened in 2005, attracts an average of approximately 1.5m visits each month.

The mall is expanding its dining selection with several international and regional brands.

Five Guys, Jimmy John’s Sandwiches, Marugame Udon and Caribou Coffee are among the new additions, alongside Halla Shawarma, Zaika and Butter & Bread.

Further dining openings planned for the coming months include Peet’s Coffee, Ocean Basket, Asia Kitchen and Smoothie Factory.

The expanded selection covers quick-service restaurants, cafés and casual dining, providing additional options for shoppers and residents in surrounding communities.

A major addition to Ibn Battuta Mall’s entertainment offering will be Roxy Cinemas.

Hopa Loompa Entertainment is also joining the mall’s entertainment line-up, while Toy Station is preparing to open. These attractions build on the recent openings of Zamania by Leo & Loona and Like Bricks.

The additions are intended to broaden the mall’s appeal to families and visitors seeking entertainment alongside retail and dining.

Ibn Battuta Mall has also welcomed new businesses across fashion, jewellery, sportswear, eyewear and lifestyle retail.

Recent arrivals include Jack & Jones, Anta, Tanishq, Magrabi, Mumuso and Suit Sartoria.

OWNDAYS and Puzzle Supplements are among the brands preparing to open, while Chemist Warehouse, Midi, My Shops and Cantata are also included in the expanded retail offering.

The mall’s growing selection of everyday services includes ADCB, Amit Care, Doctor M, Melodica and Desco Copy and Print Centre.

According to Dubai Retail, the changing tenant mix reflects residential growth in the communities surrounding the mall over the past decade.

The expansion is designed to serve a larger and more diverse customer base while strengthening Ibn Battuta Mall’s position as both a shopping destination and a centre for everyday services.

Named after the 14th-century explorer Ibn Battuta, the mall features six architecturally themed courts inspired by his travels. Since opening in 2005, it has developed into one of Dubai’s established retail and leisure destination.
