his year the RLI team will be taking Los Angeles by storm as we bring the Global RLI Awards to the United States for the first time in its
history on the 3rd April. The event will take place under the lights at its unique location of Universal Studios Hollywood in association with

One again the following shortlist would not be possible without the hard work of our esteemed panel of judges, and we would like to take this
opportunity to thank each and every judge who took time out of their own busy schedules to help make the selections below.
Following the announced shortlist on the previous pages, this section allows us the chance to introduce you to all of the shortlisted companies in a
little more detail ahead of the event, which we hope to see you at next month…
RLI FutuRe PRoject
caseLLe oPen maLL Caselle Open Mall is a project with an innovative approach, designed
turin, Italy
to offer a multitude of destinations for every visitor through the plan-
1ning of 11 themed zones called clusters. The upcoming 114,000sq
m project will feature 230 shops over 83,900sq m, highlighting international
brands, along with 18,700sq m dedicated to entertainment concepts, 9,400sq
m assigned for F&B space and finally 2,000sq m reserved for services.
Grand Zone, a master planned, mixed-use development will deliver
entertainment, residential, retail and education on a scale not seen in
Qatar or the Middle East, seamlessly combining cutting edge design
and architecture with living, working and playing options that refresh
the local heritage and character of Qatar. Grand Zone forms part of
the strategic development of Mall of Qatar, creating a prime retail and
GRanD Zone entertainment destination for residents and visitors to Doha.

The Khorfakkan Beach project will enhance the beach area that
lacks entertainment facilities and F&B outlets which will ensure a large
crowd of people. The project will provide modern facilities and high-
end services that will add value and encourage a healthy lifestyle among
residents and visitors of Khorfakkan. The project is part of Shurooq’s
strategic plan to develop the eastern region of Sharjah while preserving
its aesthetic characteristics.
The Jinji Lake mixed-use redevelopment will consist of two sites, East
and West, and its uses will include commercial retail, a hotel and serviced
apartments. The project will include the re-creation of an iconic landmark
to replace the existing icon that is symbolised by the ferris wheel – the
Jinji Lake theme park development. Upon completion, it shall be a desti-
nation that offers a one of a kind retail and leisure experience.
The overall concept of Tunis Garden City imagines a district that is well
connected to the rest of the city, yet combines the essential components
of a self-contained community, thus, a ‘city within a city’. The new city of
Tunis will be served by a number of facilities including office and residen-
tial, a museum and hotel/serviced apartments. However it is the retail
KHoRFaKKan BeacH and leisure offering, which makes this development exceptionally unique.
