The company has put together a growing library of different
films with different adventures for various target groups
from the very young to the adventure seeking teenagers,
adults and even grandparents, who prefer glider-styled Flying
Experiences over fast turns and quick moves.
An entirely different immersive attraction will launch
in Japan next year when Universal Studios Japan opens its
Nintendo attraction in February. The grand opening of Super
Nintendo World will kick off the Osaka-based parks’ year-
long 20th anniversary celebration. Built at a cost of some
$580M, the new Super Nintendo World will include rides,
replicas and retail outlets. Guests will be able to immerse
themselves in the world by wearing a Power-Up Band, an
innovative technology to help bring gameplay to life and
allow guests to keep score. Guests with the device can also
punch blocks and collect virtual coins as they visit different BaTTlekarT
parts of the site.
A relatively new idea in the Middle East, immersive
attractions and experiences are catching on quick across the
region, and Xstrike in an indoor action-packed entertainment
destination in Dubai, where combat simulation meets
competitive gaming. Combining the cutting-edge technology
