This award highlighted the retailer that our judges believe to be a truly world-class operator across all
facets of the business, delivering exceptional growth, adaptation and transformation of the brand to re-
flect evolving industry trends.
DAISO INDUSTRIES CO., LTD.
Starting from 300 stores in 1996, the store count has expanded to nearly 6,000 stores today, with the most significant
growth occurring after 2015. Some of their major store openings recently have included the Shinjuku East Exit store in
Japan, the Paramatta store in Australia and the Oswego Commons Store in the US. In addition, their largest multi-brand
store opened in Shinjuku, Tokyo, offering a wide range of products in a spacious 1,666sq m store. In the fiscal year 2024, the
company recorded the highest ever sales revenue, driven by increased demand both domestically and internationally, as well
as strengthened product capabilities. In particular, the focus on expanding their presence in global markets and tailoring
their product strategy to regional needs played a key role in driving growth.
