Flight Club to Open in Minneapolis in 2026

State of Play Hospitality, the international operator behind several premium, tech-enabled social entertainment concepts, has signed a lease for a new Flight Club in Minneapolis’ North Loop neighbourhood, one of the city’s fastest-growing live-work-play districts.

The location at 729 N Washington Ave, Suite 102 marks Flight Club’s first venue in Minnesota and continues the brand’s global expansion across major urban markets.

Flight Club Minneapolis will introduce the company’s signature blend of elevated hospitality, inventive cocktails and proprietary Social Darts® technology to a new region. The venue will span approximately 7,800sq ft and include a 1,600sq ft patio, offering both indoor and outdoor experiences. The space will be individually designed, consistent with the brand’s approach to creating distinct environments that reflect the character of each city while maintaining Flight Club’s sophisticated and energetic identity.

“Minneapolis represents a strategic addition to our growing Flight Club portfolio across North America,” said Toby Harris, CEO of State of Play Hospitality. “The North Loop has established itself as one of the city’s most dynamic districts and is in line with our strategy of growing in cities with diverse local clientele, robust hospitality sectors and steady corporate and tourist traffic.”

State of Play’s continued expansion is a reflection of shifting consumer behaviour around drinking and nightlife is shifting. Research on consumer spending shows Americans increasingly prioritising memorable, shared experiences over material goods and recent Gallup polling shows that the share of US adults who drink alcohol has fallen to a 90-year low of 54 per cent. With Flight Club’s combination of interactive gameplay, immersive experiences, elevated food and premium mocktail offerings, State of Play is already benefiting from these trends.
