Footasylum to Open New Store in Leeds

The leading footwear and sportswear omni-channel business, is pleased to announce plans to open a landmark new store in the Trinity Leeds shopping centre in April 2026.

The 12,000sq ft store builds on Footasylum’s long-standing presence in Leeds, following the strong performance of its former store at The Core shopping centre and last year’s successful pop-up at Trinity Leeds. The new store will be located on the Lower Ground floor, in the unit previously occupied by Superdry and opposite Mango.

Trinity Leeds is the city’s biggest shopping and leisure destination with over 120 shops, cafes, bars, restaurants and an Everyman cinema. In a vote of confidence in the Leeds area, the opening will create 24 jobs and will stock a diverse mix of renowned third-party brands alongside Footasylum exclusive labels including Monterrain, Forena, Dripmade and Epic Kind.

To celebrate the opening, Footasylum will be bringing its social media strategy from the screens to the streets with a series of events in-store. Footasylum will also be partnering with local businesses to celebrate the incredible talent within the city and connect with consumers at a local level.

The Trinity Leeds opening forms part of Footasylum’s ongoing UK store rollout and follows a number of recent openings, including Cornmill Centre in Darlington, Croft Retail and Leisure Park in Bromborough and Forster Square shopping centre in Bradford.

Separately, Footasylum continues to progress its international expansion programme. In November 2025, it signed a distribution agreement with MAD agency across the DACH region of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In addition, a new strategic partnership with Apparel Group was signed in December 2025, setting in motion plans to open Footasylum stores across the Gulf Cooperation Council region, including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman.

On the opening, Shannon Osman, Head of Retail at Footasylum said: “Leeds has always been a strong market for Footasylum. The response to our pop-up in the Trinity shopping centre last year and our previous store at The Core, demonstrated clear demand for a bigger, permanent Footasylum presence in the city and we’re delighted Trinity provided the right opportunity to do that.”
