Fast-growing Neapolitan pizzeria Forbici is strengthening its mission to deliver a new wave of pizza to diners with expansion into high-footfall leisure destinations, announcing a new opening at The Orient in Trafford Centre this summer.
The move marks a significant step in the pizzeria’s growth trajectory signalling its ambition to scale beyond city-centre locations.
Founded in Manchester just over a year ago, Forbici has quickly built a strong reputation for precise pizza craft with celebrity chef Marco Pierre White describing the pizza as the “best ever”. Following a successful second launch in Sheffield earlier this spring, the Trafford Centre site will become the pizzeria’s third location and its first within a major leisure destination.
Diners can expect Forbici’s signature take on pizza craft with its three-generation Biga dough, slow-fermented to create a light, risen crust with real depth of flavour. Each and every ingredient on the menu is selected for its delivery on taste from sweet San Marzano tomatoes to carefully sourced Italian produce that lets each pizza do the talking. Meaning ‘scissors’ in Italian, Forbici pizzas are cut with scissors in four ways.
Toni Dennan at Forbici, said: “Trafford Centre represents an important milestone for us as we continue to grow the Forbici brand. Expanding into a leading leisure destination allows us to introduce Forbici to a broader audience while maintaining the craft and precision that defines our pizzas.”
