German Brand Opens in Mainland China

Skincare brand Barbor has opened its first flagship store in Mainland China, launching a specialist skincare concept in Shanghai as it seeks to strengthen its presence in one of the world’s largest beauty markets.

Located in Shanghai’s Xintiandi Dongtaili precinct, the flagship has been designed as a “specialist skincare atelier”, combining the brand’s German heritage and professional expertise with an experience-led retail format.

The space is divided into two key areas: the Retail Gallery showcases Babor’s hero Ampoule Bar alongside its core skincare collections, while a dedicated Treatment Atelier offers facial treatments and personalised skincare services.

According to the brand, the concept is intended to create “deeper connections with consumers” by integrating product discovery with personalised skincare treatments and services.

Founded in 1956, Babor is known for its professional skincare products and treatments. The new store marks a milestone in the brand’s China expansion strategy and reflects growing demand for premium skincare experiences among local consumers.
