Executives attended London’s Tech Week looking to find partners for its $500bn Neom City.

Neom will be a mega-city and is the largest and most ambitious project in the Kingdom. To be launched in 2025 on the Red Sea, the plans for Neom City will be a part of a much larger project in which Saudi Arabia will produce 16 smart cities which will see it become the world’s most connected and digitised nation by 2030.

Moath Alzahrani, Smart Cities Domain Lead told executives at London’s Tech Week event that “The drive behind all these opportunities is that smart cities will help Saudi Arabia. Smart Cities will create jobs in the public and private sector, increase non-oil revenues and enhance liveability and sustainability.”

Gulf Kingdom are looking to implement Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Gaming, Robots, Drones and Data Centres as part of the project.
