Harris Teeter to Invest $250M in Growth

The company is making a major investment across the Charlotte, North Carolina area that includes the opening of three new stores.

The grocer, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Kroger Co. said it will invest approximately $253M over the next three years to refresh and modernize select stores across the area. The company also plans to open three new locations, in Fort Mill and Lake Wylie, South Carolina and Kannapolis, North Carolina, further strengthening its commitment to the region.

Renovations and enhancements are planned for stores in Fort Mill and Rock Hill, South Carolina and Matthews, Waxhaw, Concord and Huntersville, North Carolina, along with many other communities across the region. The store refresh initiative will include a variety of enhancements that vary by location. The updates will roll out in phases, with timing and scope varying across locations during the next three years.
