Icons Coffee Couture, which is planning to open 40 stores across the Gulf by 2020, has appointed Hassan Jawad as its new CEO. Icons Coffee Couture, a health conscious lifestyle coffee shop chain which is planning to open 40 stores across the Gulf region by 2020, has appointed Hassan Jawad as its new CEO.

Jawad, who previously worked for Costa Coffee handling a portfolio of 150 stores across markets in Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and Saudi Arabia, will lead the company through its next phase of innovation and growth, a statement said. Jawad aims to drive forward franchise growth worldwide, including Europe, America and China.

He will be working closely with the leadership team headed by Elena Weber, founder and managing director, Icons Worldwide, to maximize financial performance, it added. Weber will be the brand ambassador and focus on public relation, strategic business development and Icons social corporate responsibility. Through a partnership with ABL Company, the retailer is currently looking at an expansion across Kuwait with six branches and is also looking at a 10 company-owned store expansion in the UAE within the next six months.
