On June 23, the Swedish furniture giant will open its first branch of Ikea Décoration, a store that focuses particularly on interior design.
The new store will be located on the well-known Rue de Rivoli and will occupy an area of 2,900sq m over three storeys. The store will house around 1,900 references of aesthetic and affordable accessories and decorative objects available on site.
The Ikea Décoration store will be laid out according to different accessory areas around a central main aisle. Customers can use digital kiosks to order the entire range and have their items delivered. Customers will be able to scan items into the Ikea app from the store’s opening date.
According to a statement from the retailer: “The store fulfils Ikea’s ambition to encourage customers to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle at home. A ‘green thread’ has been placed throughout the store, drawing attention to the good environmental practices and renewable or recycled materials used in the range.”
