Albeit small, the newly-launched pop-up store is complete with all the usual everyday items that are associated with the home décor chain.
IKEA has focussed on launching smaller format stores across the world, a vast difference from their usual large and maze-like stores. The newly-launched pop up store houses a range of energy-conscious products such as the VIVALLA table stand, TILLREDA portable induction hobs, the FÖRNUFTIG air purifier, and the TÄRNABY table lamp.
Although there is no room for an IKEA restaurant, customers will not miss out on their favourite Swedish foods. The store will be stocked with IKEA’s new plant-based meatballs and a Swedish organic oat drink as well as other healthy dishes.
Adrian Worth, Managing Director of Dairy Farm IKEA North Asia, commented: “This small shop focuses on IKEA’s healthy and sustainable living concept; it carries articles for immediate takeaway, making it possible for customers to buy the selection of products and Swedish food in a convenient way. Tools like short films will be used to showcase these products and other aids, offering a new shopping experience and simple ways to create a healthy everyday lifestyle.”
