Parisian fashion label Isabel Marant has debuted a new boutique in Tokyo’s prime Aoyama district, collaborating with Japanese artist Yutaka Sone to deliver a striking location called ‘Yellow House’.
Taking up two floors of over 2,000sq ft in a contemporary building, the new store carries Isabel Marant’s full range of womenswear, menswear and accessories, as well as the Isabel Marant Etoile diffusion line.
The brand opened its first standalone store in Japan in 2012, housed on the ground level of a renovated building in Tokyo’s Omotesando area.
Established in 1994 by French designer Isabel Marant, the eponymous ready-to-wear label rose to prominence in the early 2000s. It soon began its international expansion in 2012, opening new Asia stores in Hong Kong, Seoul, and Tokyo and by 2016, 80 per cent of the brand’s sales were produced outside of France.
