The company has opened in Dubai at Al Quoz Creative Zone, bringing a craft-led approach to specialty coffee, food and design, alongside what it says is the UAE’s first Bellwether Shop Roaster.
Founded by Shiraz Sarwar, who previously built a delivery-only coffee business, Kairos marks the evolution into a physical venue built around slower, more social coffee experiences.
At the centre of the space is the fully electric and ventless Bellwether roaster, which allows Kairos to roast beans on-site in small batches throughout the week. Positioned in full view of guests, it means coffee can move from green bean to roast, grind and brew within days.
“Kairos is designed to be a place that takes its time to do things just right and not rush through,” Sarwar said. “I hope our regulars come to experience the anti-convenience and unhurried way of life at Kairos.”
The coffee programme includes single-origin beans and V60 pour-overs, with brewing centred around the venue’s two-metre communal Coffee Assembly table. Hand-carved from a single block of stone by Surat-based SHED Studio, the table was designed to turn coffee preparation into a shared experience.
Kairos will also regularly brew pour-over coffees for guests gathered around the table, encouraging customers to taste and discuss different beans together.
