Landmark Wynn Al Marjan Island Reveals Update

Wynn Resorts has confirmed that Wynn Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah will open in September 2027, giving the clearest opening timeline yet for the UAE’s first integrated gaming resort.

The announcement came as the US hospitality and gaming operator reported second-quarter financial results, saying construction is progressing rapidly and revealing it has now invested more than $1bn into the landmark UAE development.

The September 2027 opening marks a significant milestone for one of the Middle East’s most closely watched tourism projects.

Developed by Wynn Resorts, Marjan and RAK Hospitality Holding, the $5.1bn (AED18.7bn) resort is under construction on Al Marjan Island and is expected to become one of the UAE’s largest integrated hospitality destinations.

Commenting on the company’s results, Craig Billings, CEO of Wynn Resorts, Limited, said: “Importantly, we continue to invest in both growing and diversifying our business with construction at Wynn Al Marjan Island progressing at a rapid pace. Wynn Resorts, alongside our partners in Ras Al Khaimah, are now pleased to announce that Wynn Al Marjan Island, the most exciting integrated resort to be developed in over a decade, will open its doors to guests in September of 2027.”

Wynn Resorts said it contributed $48.1M during the second quarter of 2026 to the 40 per cent-owned joint venture developing Wynn Al Marjan Island. The latest investment brings the company’s total cash contribution to $1.06bn, with the project remaining on schedule for its September 2027 debut.
