The British lifestyle brand is set to open seven new outlets across Japan, due to open by March 2021.
Laura Ashley first entered the Japanese market after Itochu acquired the master license rights, later the brand was sold to The World Group under a sublicense agreement. The brand was unfortunately one of the first to collapse last year under the impacts and pressures of the Coronavirus pandemic.
The seven new Laura Ashley stores will be opened in Tobu Department Store Sapporo, Tobu Department Store Ikebukuro, Odakyu Department Store Machida , Tobu Department Store Funabashi, Korinbo Yamato, Keio Department Store Shinjuku and Keikyu Department Store. The stores will offer home furnishings and apparel with around 50 per cent off.
The company said in a statement: “We will deliver products that beautifully and richly colour your home and living space, including original textiles that are naturally inspired. We will introduce more various items such as women’s wear and home goods.”
