The pop-up store, which is situated in Harajuku, Tokyo, brings to life the collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Japanese contemporary artist Yayoi Kusama.
The pop-up is home to a lifelike sculpture of Kusama, who is wearing a yellow and black polka-dot shirt and dons her signature red hair. The walls are in-contrast to the sculpture’s shirt with an inverted yellow and black pattern. One corner of the store displays a collection of mirrored balls whilst another corner shows mannequins that spotlight polka-dotted designs and a neon sign that reads, ‘Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama’.
The collaboration brings together the French Maison’s signature shapes with the artist’s iconographic designs and brush strokes. The range include ready-to-wear, accessories, leather goods and fragrances and has already launched in Japan and China, whilst all other Louis Vuitton stores worldwide will see a release of the collaboration today.
The pop-up store will remain open until 22 January.
