The company has announced that they have invested A$30M in the nine new ride attractions.
Managing Director of Luna Park Sydney, Peter Hearne commented that the theme park will introduce nine new permanent rides, including six children’s rides, a family coaster, a thrill ride and a new Big Dipper, which is expected to become the world’s first inline seating launch coaster and can travel at speeds of up to 70km per hour.
He commented: “We are investing over $30M to upgrade park facilities to introduce nine new, state-of-the-art rides and update some of our other attractions, while ensuring we retain the heritage and history of this much-loved Sydney destination.”
Stuart Ayres, Minister for Jobs, Investment, Tourism and Western Sydney, commented: “This investment will attract more people to Sydney and ensure that Luna Park continues providing joy and excitement to millions of families and children for the next 85 years and beyond.”
Luna Park will be closed from the end of January 2021 until mid-2021.
