The contemporary clothing brand Madhappy is expanding its retail footprint with a sleek, brand-new SoCal store.
Madhappy, which describes itself as a brand “rooted in optimism”, has opened a new 2,400sq ft outpost in Malibu, California, located just off the famous Pacific Coast Highway and adjacent to Malibu Point. The new store joins other Madhappy locations in West Hollywood, New York City and Tokyo. Founded in 2017, the brand made its brick-and-mortar debut in late 2023 with the West Hollywood store.
Created in partnership with London-based design studio Brinkworth, Madhappy Malibu builds upon the “visual language” established by the brand at its previous spaces. Madhappy says the space draws inspiration from the post-war Case Study Houses which defined California’s architectural history and mid-century design globally. The stores feature glass, steel and concrete, with an open-plan design to facilitate “social interaction.”
In-store, guests will be able to find the brand’s latest collections of t-shirts, hoodies, crewnecks, knitwear, pants and more. Pantry, Madhappy’s café concept that first launched in West Hollywood, will open within the Malibu store, with a selection of local & global culinary partners that come together to form a collaborative menu offered daily.
