Merry Hill Announces Host of New Signings

Merry Hill has announced a host of new signings and reinvestments at its lower retail park, covering over 79,000sq ft in total.

National favourite coffee shop Costa and mattress and bedroom retailer Bensons for Beds have taken space at the scheme, which alongside B&M Bargains and Matalan renewing, mean that the retail park is almost fully let.

Costa is set to deliver its signature hot beverage and grab-and-go F&B offer across 2,800sq ft. The new location joins a recently opened Costa within Merry Hill itself, underscoring the strength of the partnership the destination has fostered with the brand. Joining it is Bensons for Beds, with the mattress and bedroom retailer opening an 8,000sq ft store. Dedicated to ‘Sleep Wellness’, the new store will showcase the retailer’s extensive range of beds, furniture and bedding.

Investment in Merry Hill’s retail park goes beyond the new entrants, with both B&M Bargains and Matalan working with the destination to renew their leases for 10 years and recommitting to a combined 68,000sq ft. The duo of reinvestments in the centre highlights Merry Hill’s continued strong performance, showcasing its appeal as a destination where top brands thrive and commit to the long term.

Nick Round, Senior Asset Manager at Sovereign Centros from CBRE, on behalf of Merry Hill, commented: “The retail park is a vital part of Merry Hill, offering a wider variety of shopping options and experiences from top brands, so these recent additions are a big step toward fully utilising the retail park’s potential. The work done over the last few years across the entirety of Merry Hill means we now have a comprehensive offer at the destination, with brands like Costa and Bensons for Beds aligning perfectly with our community’s needs. This effort has also been vindicated by existing tenants Matalan and B&M Bargains renewing their leases, also seeing why it’s so important to be a part of Merry Hill for the long term.”
