Miniso has opened its first Miniso Friends store in Indonesia at Summarecon Mall Bekasi, bringing its larger-format, IP-focused retail concept to the Greater Jakarta market.
The store spans about 1,500sq m across the mall’s Ground Floor and Basement 1. The Ground Floor focuses on collectibles, including blind boxes, plush toys and licensed merchandise, while the lower level carries a broader range of lifestyle, home and everyday products.
About 60 per cent of the assortment comprises exclusive, first-launch or limited-edition IP products, according to Miniso. The opening range includes One Piece 3.0, Persona and the Sanrio Racing blind box series, as well as products featuring Sanrio, Disney, Harry Potter and Spider-Man.
The format combines retail with interactive experiences, giving the retailer more space to showcase its growing portfolio of licensed and collectible products.
The opening also coincides with a YoYo-themed exhibition in the mall’s central atrium. ‘YoYo’s Holiday Fun Starts at Miniso’ marks the character’s first major appearance in Indonesia, with the exhibition running through 23 August.
