The new flagship store is situated by the main entrance of Citic Plaza in Shanghai and spans an area of 280sq m over store levels.
The new boutique stands at 15 metres high and features a façade clad in metal mesh with a woven pattern. Two different shades of bronze are utilised together with a special backlighting that has been designed to give a vibrant and light effect that consistently changes in accordance with natural light.
Both floors of the store feature lounge areas that have been furnished with custom seating made exclusively for Kiton. Entrances and storefronts have been thoughtfully highlighted by blue fabric panels whilst an inspirational mood is achieved through clean shapes and neutral colours with soft finishes.
Many of the fabrics used in the concept store are those that the brand usually places inside jackets, meanwhile Tai Ping rugs in anthracite-coloured wool have also been custom made for the store. The upper-floor is a VIP room that has been equipped with a large panoramic window which overlooks the city.
