A highly anticipated new lifestyle hotel coming to Egypt’s Mediterranean coast, bringing Nobu’s signature Japanese-inspired hospitality to the emerging shores of Ras El Hekma.
Set within Ogami, SODIC’s expansive new beachfront destination in Ras El Hekma, Nobu North Coast will introduce Nobu Hotels to Egypt with a refined blend of Japanese minimalism and Mediterranean ease. The new hotel is planned with 80 rooms, while its official opening year has not yet been announced. Designed as part of a wider 440-acre coastal community, the property will combine Nobu’s understated luxury with the natural beauty of Egypt’s Mediterranean shoreline. The Nobu story began with chef Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro and Meir Teper and has since evolved into one of the world’s most recognisable luxury hospitality brands. At Ogami, the brand’s distinctive approach to design and service will meet the relaxed rhythm of the North Coast.
The wider Ogami destination is designed around a balance of relaxation, movement and outdoor living, with wellness facilities planned alongside the hotel. Guests will be able to enjoy spaces dedicated to fitness, yoga and relaxation, complemented by the restorative qualities of the Mediterranean setting. The emphasis is on an easy, understated approach to wellbeing, where time by the sea becomes part of the experience.
Nobu’s celebrated Japanese-Peruvian cuisine will be at the centre of the experience. The Nobu North Coast restaurant has already introduced the brand to Egypt, opening at Ogami in 2025 with its signature dishes and a destination-specific menu. Nobu classics such as Yellowtail Jalapeño sit alongside dishes inspired by the local setting, served in a contemporary beachfront environment. Once the hotel opens, guests will have the opportunity to experience the full Nobu hospitality concept, from relaxed daytime dining to elegant evenings overlooking the Mediterranean.
The setting is one of the hotel’s greatest draws. Ogami stretches across approximately 440 acres of Mediterranean coastline and is being developed around beaches, lagoons, a marina and extensive outdoor spaces. Beyond the hotel, the wider Ras El Hekma region is rapidly emerging as one of Egypt’s most exciting new luxury destinations. Days can be spent between sea and sand, followed by sunset cocktails and Nobu dining, while the surrounding North Coast offers opportunities for boating, watersports and leisurely exploration.
