SODIC has celebrated the opening of Nobu New Cairo at Eastown District New Cairo (EDNC), bringing the globally renowned hospitality and dining brand to Egypt’s capital for the first time.
The opening marks a significant milestone in the growing partnership between Nobu and SODIC, a collaboration that contributes to the new chapter in luxury hospitality and lifestyle experiences being shaped across Egypt.
Chef Nobu Matsuhisa travelled to Cairo to mark the occasion, hosting an exclusive preview event that welcomed leading figures from Egypt’s hospitality, business, cultural and lifestyle communities for a first look at the restaurant ahead of its public debut.
Throughout the evening, guests experienced the elements that have defined Nobu for more than three decades: Japanese cuisine with Peruvian influence, thoughtful design and the spirit of kokoro – the Japanese philosophy of acting from the heart that guides every Nobu experience. Signature dishes including Black Cod Miso, Yellowtail Jalapeño and Nobu’s acclaimed sushi selection were served in an environment that reflects both the brand’s global identity and the culture of the city it now calls home.
