Spread across two floors, the new venue takes everything NQ64 has built its name on – arcade games, cocktails, hip-hop and graffiti – and turns it up a level, with more than 60 arcade games alongside all-new UV pool, augmented-reality darts, free-to-play consoles and two cocktail bars.
The arcade line-up mixes cult classics and crowd favourites including Guitar Hero, PAC-MAN Battle Royale and Mario Kart Arcade GP, alongside pinball and free-to-play consoles from Super Nintendo to Xbox 360.
For the first time at NQ64, the games are expanded to include UV pool tables and augmented-reality darts to give guests even more ways to compete, while in the UV-soaked world NQ64 is known for.
The drinks take their cues from gaming culture too. NQ64 favourites include Quick Revive No.5, inspired by Call of Duty, alongside Hellboy Marg and GTA Spice City. Non-drinkers can get involved with alcohol-free CBD serve Hits From The Pong, while the two bars also pour craft beer, spirits and a full range of cocktails.
The new space draws on the gaming, hip-hop, graffiti and street culture that has shaped NQ64 since it first opened in Manchester’s Northern Quarter in 2019. UV graffiti artwork runs across the bar and hip-hop and R&B provide the soundtrack across both floors.
Andy Haygarth, Co-Founder said: “We started NQ64 in the Northern Quarter with a simple idea: put the games we loved into a bar we’d actually want to spend the night in. Orange Yard is the biggest version of that we’ve ever built. We’ve got more than 60 arcade games, we’ve added pool and darts for the first time and we’ve somehow managed to fit it all into the middle of Soho. Opening the doors here is a huge moment for us and we can’t wait to see what people make of it.”
