NUMA, the leading European operator of a fully digitised hospitality platform, today announced its entry into the Basel market with the signing of its first asset in the city, marking a further strategic expansion in Switzerland after Zurich.
The new development, owned by Ecoreal Schweizerische Immobilien Anlagestiftung, will deliver 60 keys in a purpose-built property, scheduled to open in the second half of 2027.
The property is a new development, designed by Monoplan and will bring NUMA’s fully digital, design-led hospitality model to one of Switzerland’s most dynamic urban and economic centres. The building will operate with NUMA’s end-to-end digital guest journey, offering seamless experiences from booking to check-out, while combining contemporary architecture, operational efficiency and a high-quality urban stay experience.
This project represents a strategic milestone for NUMA Group as it continues its European expansion into prime, high-demand urban markets. Basel’s strong corporate presence, cultural significance and international connectivity make it a key location for NUMA’s long-term growth strategy in the DACH region.
Dimitri Chandogin, Co-Founder and Member of the Management Board at NUMA Group, said: “Basel is a highly relevant next step for NUMA in Switzerland. After Zurich, this project expands our Swiss footprint into another strong urban market with deep corporate and international demand. This signing brings together everything we look for: a purpose-built asset, a strong institutional partner and our digital platform. This is the growth model we want to scale across Europe – always built around a better guest experience.”
