Kuwait-based Americana has acquired the master-franchise for the coffee experience brand and plans to launch the first store in the UAE by the end of the year.
Rated as the world’s leading pure-play coffee and tea company by revenue Peet’s Coffee boasts a portfolio of more than 370 coffee bar locations across the US and China. It is likely that Americana will brew up another round of growth from this latest franchise deal, given that Peet’s ranks amongst the leading coffee brands in the US.
Americana is currently going through the process towards an IPO, and will then launch the brand across the Gulf markets to provide a powerful new opportunity for both partners to tap into the region’s growing coffee market.
