Radisson Collection Berlin Reopens Following Renovation

Berlin’s Radisson Collection Hotel has reopened after a two-year-long closure and extensive renovation works following the explosion of a giant fish tank in the hotel’s atrium lobby in December 2022.

A ‘living tree’ vertical garden (pictured) now occupies the centre of the lobby, where the 16-metre-high indoor aquarium once stood. The green installation features close to 2,000 plants and, at 24 metres tall, towers over a new Atrium bar and lobby lounge, the latter of which can be used as a co-working space.

Located in the city’s Mitte district, the hotel features 427 rooms and suites, a restaurant with an outdoor terrace that serves Greek cuisine and a bar.

There’s also 2,750 sqm of fully renovated meeting and event space that stretches across three floors, a spa with a Finnish sauna and indoor pool and a fitness centre.

The rapidly expanding hotel group – which includes brands such as art’otel, Radisson Blu, Radisson, Radisson RED, Radisson Individuals and Park Plaza – is increasing its European footprint with recent openings in Poland, Ireland, Serbia and Finland, along with the recent debut of Radisson Red in Berlin.
