The company has rolled out more than 600 dark stores across India to support the rapid expansion of its JioMart quick commerce service, which promises deliveries in less than 30 minutes.
Dark stores are small, localised fulfilment hubs designed to process online orders for delivery or pickup, often converted from traditional retail spaces to enable faster order turnaround. They do not serve walk-in customers.
The company said its new facilities are strategically located in key urban and suburban areas to enhance speed and efficiency in serving its growing online customer base.
JioMart app offers three service models: Quick delivery within 30 minutes, scheduled delivery with a broader product range and a subscription-based option for early morning doorstep delivery of everyday essentials.
The app competes with other quick commerce platforms in India, such as Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart and BigBasket.
