The Irvine Company has announced that RH (formerly known as Restoration Hardware) has signed a lease to open at Fashion Island, its luxury centre on the beach.
RH has signed a lease that will see it erect an 80,000sq ft store in Orange County at Fashion Island. RH has said that it wants its gallery in Newport Beach to overlook the Pacific Ocean; therefore Fashion Island will be relocating its merchants currently located there to other parts of the centre.
The store, otherwise known as a gallery, will span three floors, with each being themed – interiors, outdoor and modern. Construction for the store, which will be populated with 100-year-old heritage olive trees, is scheduled to begin next year in anticipation of a Spring 2024 opening.
“RH Newport Beach reflects our vision to create architecturally inspiring and immersive spaces that blur the lines between residential and retail, indoors and outdoors, home and hospitality,” said RH chairman and CEO Gary Friedman.
