Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi at Al Maryah Island has debuted Saikindō, a new high-fidelity cocktail lounge inspired by Japan’s listening bars.

Positioned as more than just a nightlife venue, Saikindō is designed to be a sensory and cultural experience that fuses sound, spirit and space through a hospitality lens.

The venue is built around the Japanese philosophy of Omotenashi – a wholehearted approach to hospitality – with the guest experience tailored through thoughtful rituals, complimentary welcome snacks and personalised beverage recommendations.

The aim is to provide a sense of warmth and belonging, redefining what luxury nightlife means in the capital, the team says.

The beverage programme will be helmed by Marco Corallo, beverage director and alumnus of both Four Seasons Jumeirah and the award-winning Artesian in London, alongside Ann Pinsuda, head mixologist formerly of The Bamboo Bar, Bangkok. The team will integrate AI technology to interpret music’s tempo and tone into flavour, crafting cocktails that sonically and sensorially resonate.

Each drink will be created with seasonal Japanese ingredients, available in both alcoholic and zero-proof formats. The menu will spotlight Japanese cocktails, rare international spirits, sake and shōchū – combining innovation with authenticity.

Saikindō’s design is a nod to the Metabolism movement – Japan’s modular, adaptable architectural style – fused with the warm elegance of mid-century craftsmanship. Rich wooden panelling, custom acoustic detailing, embroidered wallpapers and bespoke furnishings will define the interiors.

The space will also embrace stylistic elements from Japan’s Bosozoku biker subculture, contrasting classic spy-style elegance with bold, rebellious energy. This layered aesthetic will extend into material patterns, lighting and even bespoke fashion pieces displayed in the bar.
