Korean developer Shinsegae Property is ushering in the era of ‘Starfield 2.0’ with the launch of Starfield Suwon, an expansive new shopping mall spanning over 300,000sq m.
Placing an emphasis on the MZ generation and their needs, Starfield Suwon is a progression from the family-oriented focus of Starfield malls, according to the developer. Opening tomorrow, Starfield Suwon is designed with eight floors underground and another eight aboveground, with features that cater to both local residents and the MZ demographic. Starfield Suwon is the fifth Starfield mall, following Hanam, Goyang, COEX and Anseong.
Suwon has a concentration of industrial facilities and universities, as well as millennial families in their 30s and 40s raising children. Starfield Suwon aims to provide a diverse range of tenants and services that cater to these segmented preferences, including lifestyle and sports facilities.
Among the mall’s features is a version of the now-iconic library at Starfield COEX, as well as a unique new cafe that combines Instagram-friendly elements with a dedicated study zone. These spaces are designed to engage younger consumers with a place for studying and for leisure.
