The opening expands its UAE portfolio, pairing Georgian wines with dishes including khachapuri and handmade khinkali.
Designed around Georgia’s tradition of gathering around the table, the new restaurant focuses on generous, shareable plates with a strong emphasis on Georgian hospitality.
Shvili is part of Tigrus Restaurant Holding, which operates nearly 80 restaurants globally. Its founder, Henrik Winther, says: “For us, Georgian hospitality begins with making every guest feel welcome and putting good food at the centre of the table. With Shvili in DIFC, we want to create a place people return to, whether for lunch with colleagues, dinner with friends or a family meal at the weekend.”
Founded in 2016, Shvili now has 33 locations across five countries, including Russia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, the UAE and Turkey. Its UAE portfolio also includes outlets at Dubai Hills Mall, Dubai Festival City Mall, Palm Jumeirah Mall, Circle Mall and Galleria Mall Abu Dhabi.
