The new food and beverage line will be available in early April and will feature as many as 700 products.
The new Favorite Day range is focused on providing customers with an indulgent snack based platform which features premium items such as ice creams, bakery items, beverage mixers, mocktails and cake decorating supplies. According to Rick Gomez, Chief Food and Beverage Officer, the new Favorite Day range has been in development for the past year. He says: “Right now, more than ever, people need that life bit of reward, a little bit of indulgence, a little bit of joy in their every day.”
The grocery segment is one of Target’s less profitable sectors, however it does drive traffic through the Good & Gather brand, Target’s flagship brand which boasts around 2,000 products and Market Pantry which provides low-cost staple items such as flour and coffee filters.
Target’s food and beverage sales have grown by 21 per cent in 2020 compared with the prior year and it continues to be a sector that Target invests in.
