Tatweer Misr, in partnership with Vogue Arabia, welcomed global supermodel, fashion icon and internationally acclaimed DJ Naomi Campbell to Egypt for the first time for an exclusive event at D-Bay, North Coast, marking the unveiling of Athinio by D-Bay, the destination’s newest premium beachfront neighbourhood.
Held last week, the invitation-only celebration brought together leading names from fashion, culture, entertainment and business for a night set along the Mediterranean coastline. Campbell took over the decks for a special DJ performance, joined by Gawdat and Adrop, transforming the D-Bay waterfront into a meeting point for music, fashion and culture.
Behind the celebration was a significant milestone for D-Bay: the introduction of Athinio, its final residential release and a new chapter in Tatweer Misr’s approach to coastal living. Inspired by a contemporary Mediterranean lifestyle, Athinio has been conceived around the way people experience a destination beyond their homes – through the waterfront, walkable streets, the places they meet and dine and the community and connections they bring to life.
Dr. Ahmed Shalaby Co-Founder, President & CEO of Tatweer Misr, said: “Developing Egypt’s North Coast was never just about building homes. From the beginning, our vision has been to create destinations with a distinct identity that continue to evolve. That demands the right mix of architecture, hospitality, culture, experiences and partnerships. Collaborating with Vogue Arabia and welcoming Naomi Campbell to D-Bay reflects how we bring that vision to life. Partnerships of this scale connect a destination to a wider world and define what it stands for. What we are building here is not just a coastline. It is a destination that belongs on the global map.”
Manuel Arnaut, Head of Editorial Content at Vogue Arabia, commented: “Vogue Arabia has always looked to the intersection of fashion, culture and the places shaping contemporary life in our region. This collaboration with Tatweer Misr offered an opportunity to celebrate the evolution of Egypt’s North Coast through a star-studded occasion that brought together regional creativity and global influence. Since our launch, Egypt has been an endless source of inspiration and this will continue. With Vogue Arabia curating the evening and Naomi Campbell taking to the decks at D-Bay, this celebration further solidifies Sahel as a landmark for both local and global entertainment.”
At Athinio, a pedestrian-first masterplan places the experience of the neighbourhood at the forefront. Low-rise chalets and apartments are set among walkable streets and layered landscaping, with views across the Mediterranean, lagoon and surrounding green spaces. The vast majority of the development is given over to greenery, water features and recreational zones, with the built footprint kept deliberately minimal. A select number of apartments feature private Jacuzzis overlooking the coastline.
