Entertainment venue Brass Monkey is expanding further across Dubai this summer with the launch of a new branch in Motor City, adding to the two current outlets.
The new opening showcases the ambition of Brass Monkey Hospitality for growth across the GCC, with locations in The Galleria Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi and Bahrain Harbour Financial District also in the pipeline. The Motor City location is due to open this summer and will be joined by the launch of Hey Tiger – a new ‘modern Asian social house’.
There are currently branches of Brass Monkey on Bluewaters and City Walk, the latter of which is Time Out Dubai’s current Best Entertainment Bar. The two new spots come from home-grown Brass Monkey Hospitality and will bring the venue’s well-known combination of food, drinks, music and bowling to Motor City.
“Motor City gives us the opportunity to bring the next evolution of Brass Monkey into a neighbourhood setting while introducing Hey Tiger to a completely new audience,” said Simon Robinson, Director of Operations and Franchise at Brass Monkey Hospitality. “With Hey Tiger, we also wanted to create a restaurant where the food feels genuinely rooted in the cultures and techniques that inspired it.”
Brass Monkey will be found on the ground floor – while Hey Tiger will be on the upper level. There will also be an outdoor terrace for the cooler months.
Boasting an open-kitchen, Hey Tiger’s menu comes from Prabin Tamang and will showcase flavours from across Asia including Japan, Korea and China. Tamang has previous held roles at Dubai’s Mimi Kakushi and OKKU and the line-up at Hey Tiger will include robata, sushi, maki, dim sum and Korean barbecue. There will be tabletop grills to allow for interactive dining.
