Set on the North Sea coast, where historic façades line the shoreline, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts announces the opening of TRYP by Wyndham, The Hague Scheveningen.
The property draws on the legacy of traditional Dutch seaside hotels, reflecting its connection to the coast and its historic character. The hotel brings TRYP by Wyndham to The Hague, reimagining a long-standing property that balances heritage, location and a vibrant, design-forward hospitality experience.
Located only minutes from the beach and within easy reach of the international city of The Hague, the hotel sits at the heart of a dual-demand destination, supporting year-round leisure and business travel. World-renowned as the “City of Peace and Justice”, housing the Dutch Parliament, United Nations and the royal family, The Hague welcomed over 2.9 million overnight guests annually in 2024 according to The Hague Online. The new opening strengthens Wyndham’s portfolio with its longstanding franchise partner, which opened Ramada by Wyndham The Hague Scheveningen in 2014.
Housed in a building dating from the 1960s and located within a protected part of Scheveningen, the hotel has undergone a full renovation which incorporates the distinctive design language of the TRYP by Wyndham brand. The transformation preserves the property’s historic identity while upgrading facilities to deliver enhanced comfort, intuitive functionality and a thoughtfully designed guest experience. Inspired by the soft lines of the sand dunes and the calm rhythm of the Scheveningen beach, natural textures, warm sandy tones and light-filled spaces create a relaxed coastal atmosphere, offering guests a peaceful retreat just minutes from the sea. Next year, the property will celebrate its 100-year anniversary of the original Badhotel dating back to 1927, when it first welcomed guests, marking a century of hospitality on the Dutch coast.
